Sidmouth - Thursday

Thursday. . . Had to get up ridiculously early for workshop 1 of 2. Lots turned out for it and a good time was had by all. Looking forward to dancing with the amazing Bo Diddlers later on. Have a look at their website. They are very funny.

Sidmouth Midweek

Well it's the Wednesday at Sidmouth and a well deserved day off. We've been very busy all week with a few special performances along the way.

The first was a meet the team on Sunday where we finished with Tea for Two and cake for the audience. Then we had some swelling of the ranks on Monday in more ways than one when 2 extra adders arrived from Cambridge and I got a huge blister on my heel which meant I had to dance in only one clog. This was fine at the spot with the flowers at our feet as the audience couldn't see any feet.

Then yesterday was busy as we did a fabulous joint spot with the Kingsmen including a massed clog dance, a Highland dance and a massed rapper. Then the evening finished late with our cabaret at midnight last night. Swan Lake in clogs. . . But Fluff did posh ballet on point. Clever Fluff. We're now considering changing our name to Black Adder Ballet and Step permanently.

So, day off but not really a day off today so will keep you posted. . . Green 3.

Sidmouth - Day One

Sidmouth, Saturday, day one. 

Parade and Green 3.5 fell asleep on Green 3's shoulders for the entirety of the parade. . . She's learning the Adder way fast.

Sidmouth, Brace Yourself!

From Friday you will find the Adders at Sidmouth Folk Festival. The last time we were there was 2004, the last Mrs Casey year. That year the Adders danced their Swan Lake cabaret and donned roller skates for the torchlight procession (fire and wobbly Adders on roller skates - yikes!).

This year we are running a clog workshop as well as doing our performances and there are a few surprises planned, so keep your eyes and ears open!

Welcome to the blog of Black Adder Rapper and Step.

Yes, it has been here for a while, a rather too silent while, but then, lots of Adders have been starting Adder families and domestic life has taken priority over blogging.

However, we have a brand new website with the blog tied in and we will hopefully be bringing you shiny new, witty banter very soon. Keep checking in!
